Q: Does the barrel have dimple for a2 sight?
Q: What's the gas port size?
A: Gas Port Size for the 7.62x39 Mid Length barrel is .104"
Q: WILL A2 FRONT SITE FIT ON THIS BARREL WITH OUT ANY MODIFICATIONS
A: If you have a traditional A2 front sight that needs to be pin and welded then no our barrel is not a good fit. If it's one like a JP Enterprises JPGS-2FS then it should be a good fit and shouldn't need any modifications.
Q: I have a lower with an A2 buffer system
Can you tell me if I’ll have function issues with this mid length gas in 7.62x39?
A: A 7.62x39 mid-length barrel should function fine with an A2 buffer system if you have mil-spec components and you are not losing gas pressure via gas block or within the bolt carrier. Some bolt carriers on the market are not to mil-spec as they are not doing the hard-turn grind after heat treatment to make internals concentric which allows gas leakage around the bolt assembly rings. As long as you have mil-spec components you should be fine.
Q: Good afternoon, I bought both the 11.5 and 16" x39 barrels as well as an x39 bolt. This being my first DIY AR, I'm using a Stag Arms receiver set for this build. I want to see if there are any issues with headspacing I should concern myself with once assembled? Also, any mitigation steps recommended.
A: There should be no issues with headspacing, but we do recommend all bolts and barrels regardless of the caliber to be headspaced by the end user.
Q: Wanted to provide the build specs:
BRA barrels (1-16" and 1-11.5" upper) BRA enhanced firing pin, Superlative Arms Gas Piston system (mid length and carbine) SA's ION bonded bolt carrier and a POF roller cam pin, Armasight Stealth buffer, and a strike venom muzzle device, POF enhanced buffer tube, MFT Minimalist and a UTG Pro 15" SS m-lok and a Primary Arms ACSS Scope 1-6x
Thanks for your expertise and input
A: Using an SA piston setup with a 7.62x39 mid-length gas setup will never run reliably and we don't see it running reliably on the 11.5" 7.62x39 setup either due to the length of the barrel and considering dwell time, etc.
Q: Is the finish glossy as the picture shows? Or is it a matte finish?
A: Melonite finish is not glossy, that glossy look in the picture is from oils and lighting. Melonite is more of a slight sheen but not matte like a phosphate coating.
Q: Which gas length for 7.62x39 with 16" barrel and 6 position carbine extension/carbine buffer?
A: Either a carbine or a mid-length will work fine with this setup.
Q: Are these barrels HPT/MPI?
Q: Does this barrel require a true
Also do you typically have this barrel in stock or does it sell out often?
A: Yes, the 7.62x39 barrels require a true .125" bolt.
