Q: I'm looking at cheaper free float hand guards. Can I shop and send you a set of hand guards as long as it's compatible, and if so, how much would removing the troy alpha rail reduce the cost?
A: Yes you sure may. We do ask that you send us a link to which rail you are looking at so we can determine if it is piston compatible. We would remove $160.00 from the build for Troy Alpha Rail removal.
Q: Would I be able to purchase this complete upper without the picatinny strips installed on the side or bottom of the Alpha rail? Could the strips just be included in the shipment for me to install later if I so choose? Thank you in advance.
A: Yes, you can get them with the rail sections off and put them on yourself at a later date. They are more difficult to install after the gas block is on but can be done. If you don't want rails sections on, when you order just put in the order notes during checkout that you would like rail sections to be left off build and just put them in the box to be installed by you at a possible later date.
Q: Can the upper receiver and handguard be done in FDE cerakote at the time of purchase like the 300 blackout piston upper?
A: Yes it can be. There would be an additional cost to send the upper/rail out for cerakote, however.
Q: I am curious to know if the 7.62x39 C.A.P.S. MID length piston upper with the troy alpha rail is adaptable with other rails?
A: You may find the list of compatible rails for the mid-length piston system here: http://www.blackriflearms.com/FAQ_ep_55.html#Rails
There maybe more rails on the market that we are not aware of, so if there is a particular rail you have in mind please email us through our contact page and we would be happy to look into it.
