Q: I have an KS-47, will this allow me to shoot steel/ brass or only steel ammo ?
A: We have never had issues going between steel and brass, but we always tell customers if you are going between steel and brass just check the first few brass casings primers to ensure you are not piercing primers.
Q: Will this work on the KS47 rifle?
A: If that platform takes a mil-spec firing pin then yes this firing pin will work as we retain the overall mil-spec characteristics.
Q: I bought an enhanced firing from y’all several years ago for the ar 15 in 7.62x39
I now have an ar15 in 223/556, I want to be able to switch lowers between the two calibers
Can I use the 7.62x39 enhanced firing pin in the 556 also?
A: We don't recommend it as you can pierce 5.56 primers. If you do decide to use the enhanced firing pin in your 5.56 we highly recommend checking for any pierce primers when using new ammo. If you are piercing primers install a standard firing pin for that caliber. Piercing primers will erode the tip of the firing pin if regularly piercing primers.
Q: Will this firing pin work in a CMMG MK47 Resolute?
A: If the CMMG MK47 Resolute utilizes a standard AR-15 firing pin then yes the Enhanced Firing Pin will work.
Q: Please tell me how much longer the enhanced/extended firing pin for the 7.62x39 AR15 is than the standard firing pin. Thank you.
A: Enhanced Firing Pins Are Engineered to Maintain Mil-Spec Characteristic Where the Firing Pin Interfaces Inside the Bolt and Still Allow Greater Protrusion Into the Primer
Q: Who makes this firing pin, I know the BCA ones are breaking the tip off.
A: We have been manufacturing our own firing pins for around 12 yrs. We did the specs/drawings/machining/testing. We do not buy from other sources.
Q: I’m having FTF issues with on a 7.62x39 upper with Tula ammo (primers set deep). I’ve already installed a higher strength hammer spring, and wanting to install an enhanced firing pin. Which one do I need?
A: For deep set primers we recommend Part Number: 221214
While we did test on other ammunition and didn't experience pierce primers we always state while using new ammunition with this part number check the first few primers for pierce primers.
Q: Will these firing pins work in a KS 47? Thank you for your time.
No Answers have been submitted yet.
Q: Does the enhanced plus option change anything? What is the difference?
A: Enhanced firing pin is for the harder primers in the x39 calibers it allows for further protrusion. The Enhanced Plus firing pin allows for even further protrusion for those that have lot's of ammunition like we have seen in Tula that have deep set primers.
Q: Shooting wolf ammo 7.62x39 and on occasion primer strike is not dedinating primers. Do u recommend enhanced or enhanced plus firing pin?
A: If you are having trouble with light strikes with an enhanced firing pin we ask that you contact us and ask for Charles so he can troubleshoot with you. There are other things outside of having an enhanced firing pin that can cause light strikes. You can reach out to us at: 386-410-5162
