Product Description

Black Rifle Arms® is one of the original manufacturer's of Enhanced Firing Pins with over 13 years of redesigning our enhanced firing pins to ensure positive ignition on notorious hardened primers found in the 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 steel case ammunition.

The ENHANCED PLUS FIRING PIN was designed due to recent issues with certain lots of Tula and Golden Tigers Ammunition having deeper set primers. Due to this we redesigned an enhanced plus firing pin that will allow for further protrusion due to these deep set primers.

Enhanced Firing Pins Are Engineered to Maintain Mil-Spec Characteristic Where the Firing Pin Interfaces Inside the Bolt and Still Allow Greater Protrusion Into the Primer

PLEASE NOTE: Overall Length is irrelevant to the performance of our enhanced firing pin. We designed our enhanced firing pin with multiple dimensional changes beyond overall length.
We highly recommend sticking to steel case ammunition such as Wolff or Silver Bear for best performance

Q: Hi there, I'm interested in replacing the firing pin on my 7.62x39 bcg, Is there a reason I should replace it with the plus and not the regular enhanced? Should I get the plus? Is it overall better and can't do any harm? Would like to know so I don't buy the wrong one.

A: Enhanced and Enhanced Plus are made with the same material and therefore one or the other is not superior to another. The ENHANCED PLUS FIRING PIN was designed due to recent issues with certain lots of Tula and Golden Tigers Ammunition having deeper set primers. Q: Do you guys offer the enhanced plus firing pin for deep set primers fotmy AR10?

A: We do not, we have not been getting any reports of deep set primers in the AR-10 ammunition. If you are having light strikes with that platform 99.9% of the time its an incorrect hammer spring install. If hammer spring is installed correctly you may have carrier riding down with the hammer.

Q: Will I be able to shoot brass and steel ammo with the regular enhanced firing pin? And will it over penetrate brass ammo primers ?

A: In our testing we didn't pierce primers and we have not heard of any customers with this issue, but since we are pushing the edge of further penetration we tell customers to check the primers of any new ammunition they are running to ensure they don't.

A: Yes, we tested on several brands of steel case ammo with no issues, but we do tell customers when shooting a new brand of ammo to just take a look at a spent casings to ensure there are no pierce primers.

A: We extended the protrusion on the Enhanced Plus as we saw some lots of imported ammo with deeper set primers so we need to design a firing pin that would allow for even further protrusion for the lots of ammunition with deep set primers.
