Q:
Having a problem with my right side charging bear creek 7.62 AR discharging cases with wolf ammo, thinking of replacing the firing pin with your enhanced one and changing the extractor but can’t find one that’s compatible on your site. Would this product and an enhanced firing pin do the trick?

A:
Yes you can either purchase just the AR-15 7.62x39 Melonite QPQ Bolt: https://www.blackriflearms.com/AR-15-762x39-Melonite-QPQ-Bolt-Assembly-_p_239.html
Or the

Q:
I see where your 7.62x39 extractor does not fit BCA BCG. Does this bolt assembly work in their BCG?
Asked by:
Henry Trull
- 12/31/2022
A:
Yes our bolt assemblies work with their Bolt Carrier, but their bolt assemblies have not been consistently machined properly so other mfg extractors hang up in the barrel extension. We had the opportunity to work with a customer with a BCA 7.62x39BCG and we know why extractors won't work (customer tried 5 other MFG companies extractor for this caliber and they all hung up in the barrel extension) so our customer had us change out BCA bolt assembly for one of ours.

Q:
I've bought items from you guy's and I am interested in this bolt yet are the lugs on the bolt face thicker than a standard AR15 lugs?
Asked by:
Alberto Vega
- 6/4/2022
A:
Bolts are designed to work with mil-spec AR-15 barrel extension. Our bolts work with our barrels that have mil-spec barrel extension with 30 caliber feed ramps.

Q:
Is This bolt specifically made for 7.62 x39 or is it a 5.56 bolt milled out to accommodate the larger round
Asked by:
Cory
- 10/29/2021
A:
Our bolts are made from the beginning as 7.62x39 bolts. As stated in product's description: Machined completely in one operation; this eliminates tolerance and repeatability issues that arise from the multiple fixturing processes used by other manufacturers

Q:
Are these the new 7.62 style bolts yall designed that would run a couple thousand rounds before breaking extractors? Fella on YouTube was talking about them.
Asked by:
Chris
- 10/22/2021
A:
While we do have more meat on our extractors we can't make any guarantees when the extractor or lugs will fail because other forces come into play such as gassing of the operating system and certain ammunition such as Tula or Red Army (the cases do not shrink properly and puts undue stress on the extractors and single wide barrel extensions have no support and will cause lugs to break. Also we are seeing a lot of melonited/nitrided barrel extensions lugs being deformed overtime and causing issues also. We have no control over these issues, but the way we do ourbarrels and the way we gas our uppers we have some demo rifles with over 5,000 rounds.

Q:
I bought two of the7.62X39 Melonite QPQ Bolt Assemblys for my PSA KS 47's, but my weapons would not cycle properly. any ideas?
Asked by:
David
- 10/8/2021
A:
Our AR-15 7.62x39 bolt assemblies are for AR-15 7.62x39 rifles that utilizes AR-15 7.62x39 magazines. PSA KS47 utilizes AK magazines and due to this the bolt assemblies on PSA KS47 are machined for the AK magazines so they are designed differently and you can't utilize an AR-15 bolt assembly in a platform that utilizes AK magazines.

Q:

Asked by:
Jacobo E Abadi

A:
They are in stock now.

Q:
Is this a complete bolt assembly, i.e drop in to a bolt carrier and go, or does it require the installation of a firing pin or other parts before completion?
Asked by:
Garcia
- 6/8/2021
A:
This is just for the bolt assembly and nothing else. It sounds like if you are looking for a bolt carrier group which is the bolt carrier, bolt assembly, cam pin, firing pin and retaining pin. We have BCG (bolt carrier groups) but those are out of stock, at the moment.

PLEASE NOTE: Tula Ammunition and Golden Tiger have issues where some primers are set too far in and will still cause light strikes even with an Enhanced Firing Pin
For this reason, we highly suggest sticking to steel cause ammunition such as Wolff or Silver Bear
If you continue to have light primer strikes with Enhanced Firing first check your hammer spring to ensure it is installed properly.
THE 3 MOST COMMON THINGS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO PREMATURE EXTRACTOR FAILURES:
Tula Ammunition and Red Army are extremely hard on 7.62x39 bolt assemblies and extractors. We have tested this particular brand on many occasions and have found that cartridges tend to get stuck and/or casings do not shrink properly which causes undue stress on the extractors and the bolt lug next to the extractor. This will contribute to premature failures of these parts.
Overgassing! Overgassing is another issue we see most common in premature bolt assemblies and extractor failures. To prevent premature part failures, the 7.62x39 best performs with a 4 pm ejection pattern (from a shooter's perspective looking at the ejection port as if it were a clock 12 pm to 6 pm). If you are at a 2 pm to 3:30 pm for ejection pattern you are overgassed with this caliber. To slow down the bolt carrier you can use a heavier buffer such as an H2 to get your ejection pattern as close to 4 pm as possible as this allows for the casing to shrink further before extraction takes place thus reducing the stress of the bolt assembly and/or extractor.
Barrel Extensions with a large wide single feed ramp with no middle lug does not support the bolt assembly properly.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND WOLF AMMUNITION FOR THIS CALIBER
