Q:
I'm shooting Russian made steel casing ammo. Have tried 4 different springs with the extractor. one of the springs helped but it still is stove piping. the gun has only had around a 100 rounds threw it. Was told the extractor is letting go before it moves all the way back. Any suggestions? He said I need a steel harden extractor.
Asked by:
Jerry
- 5/5/2021
A:
Stove piping can be a number of causes such as gassing issue, ejector spring, cartridge could be sticking in the chamber, etc. Please call Charles at 386.410.5162 if you would like to troubleshoot with him.

Q:
does this work on a milspec 762x39 bolt or is proprietary for your bolt assembly?
Asked by:
evan
- 3/19/2021
A:
A 5.56 extractor is used on a mil-spec 5.56 bolt assembly. If you have a 7.62x39 bolt assembly you will need to use an 7.62x39 extractor for the 7.62x39 bolt assembly.

Q:
can you use your 762x39 firing pin on in a 223 bolt? I use alot of steel case with hard primers!
Asked by:
evan
- 3/19/2021
A:
A 5.56 does not utilitze a enhanced firing, you can pierce primers. 5.56 does not use primers as hard as the 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 calibers. If you are getting light strikes with a 5.56 then you may have your hammer spring installed backwards causing it to unwind and thus losing energy to set off the primers of steel case.

Q:
Are your spare extractors and ejectors melonited/qpq, etc..?
Asked by:
Thomas Staples
- 4/22/2019
A:
We only use phosphate for these small part. From past experience (live and learn) it's best to have these small parts phosphate as melonite can over penetrate and cause brittleness which equals parts failure.
