Q: I'm having stove pipe problems with my 7.62x39 AR. It seems the case is being held onto by the extractor. Would this fix that issue? Has anyone had this issue?
A: It could be multiple issues such as extractor, extractor spring or even the bolt face. Please give us a call and ask for Charles for some troubleshooting: 386.410.5162
Q: I would like two of the extractors but unable to add to cart.
A: Hi Brad, I just checked inventory and we have plenty. I then put a few in the cart and checked out with no issues. You may need to clear your phones or computers cache and that should fix any issues you are experiencing, if it doesn't you are more than welcome to call in the order.
Q: I shoot 7.62 x 39 in a Windham Weaponry AR and also a 6.5 Grendel type I ( 0.125" depth bolt face). Will this extractor work with these bolts?
Thanks and God bless.
A: If your 6.5 Grendel utilizes a Type 1 Bolt Assembly (.125" bolt face) then yes the 7.62x39 extractor is the correct replacement extractor.
Q: Is the extractor nitrided ?
A: Due to the tolerance of the extractors, we no longer nitride them due to the possibility of over penetration and causing the extractors to become brittle and causing premature failure. Due to this, all our extractors are now phosphate even in our nitride/melonite bolt assemblies.
Q: does this kit include all parts needed for extractor? See O ring is included but can't tell if extractor spring is included in kit.
A: Yes this kit is used if you have a stripped bolt or need extractor spare parts. It includes:
Extractor, MIL-S5000 Steel and Vacuum Hardened
Extractor Spring/Rubber Insert
Q: Is the extractor machines or cast?
A: Extractors are machined, not cast
Q: Is this 7.62x39 extractor cast or machined steel? Thanks.
A: Extractors are machined
Q: Is this for 5.56/.223 bolts? And what material is it made of?
A: Yes this is for all AR-15 bolt assemblies. Our Nitrided Bolt Assemblies and Enhanced Bolt Carrier groups already have this upgraded kit in them.
Extractor is MIL-S-5000 steel and vacuum hardened
As for the spring and rubber insert, I don't have the material for this, but we buy from top-tier vendors that only manufacture to mil spec standards or higher quality material such as our bolt assemblies manufactured from AISI 9310 VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelt), the highest standard bolt material made.
