Q: Is there an option to send me the piston conversion without me having to send an upper. I would rather assemble it myself but I don’t see the option in the menu. Thank you!

A: Hi Will, an upper receiver that is sent in should include a bolt assembly which is part of a complete upper; however, any missing components such as an enhanced firing pin, bolt assembly, etc can be purchased separately through us as part of your build.

Q: i plan on sending in a fully assembled 300blk upper for conversion, but i do not see the 300blk option for selection. do you guys do 300blk conversion for gas to piston

A: We do not offer a piston conversion for the 300 Blackout rifles. Due to this caliber needing a pistol length gas system we had to design a rocker bushing for the upper receivers which makes the piston system non-compatible with mil-spec upper receivers. This rocker bushing allows for the pistol caliber piston system op rod to rock back into the upper receiver which allows the end-user to disassemble the piston system for routine maintenance. Without this rocker bushing, the end-user would have to remove the gas block for piston system maintenance as seen in other piston systems.

A: Yes, we do all piston installs in house. We go through customers' uppers to make sure everything is properly torqued to spec, we do the install and then test fire to make sure it is at the proper cyclic rate. If we need to reduce gas due to an oversize gas port in the barrel we can add a reducer within the gas block to get a proper cyclic rate, etc.

Q: Are your piston kits compatible with the Aero M4E1 Enhanced Uppers?

A: No, our piston systems are not compatible with Aero Precision's M4E1 Enhanced Uppers. Our piston systems are compatible with Aero Precision's M4E1 Threaded Uppers that we then use our proprietary piston barrel nuts on.

Q: Do you offer a 308/ 7.62x51mm conversion kit?

A: We do not offer a piston conversion for the .308/AR-10/7.62x51 rifles. Our upper receivers for this caliber get additional machining specifically for our .308 piston system; therefore, other manufacturer's uppers are not compatible.

A: All our piston conversions come with our patented piston bolt carrier; however, we do utilize the small parts (firing pin, cam pin, bolt assembly and firing pin retaining pin for your bolt carrier group). As seen in the picture on this product's page our bolt carrier is a one piece bolt carrier with striking lug machined in.

Q: What is the turn around time once you receive my upper receiver?

A: Our turnaround is usually between 3 to 5 days. That usually gives us enough time to go through the upper, install the piston system and test fire and accommodate any lil tweaks to the gas system for optimal performance.
