Asked by: julian alaniz - 1/26/2022
A: We put up a disclaimer tab on our products page regarding what will cause premature failure in extractors. We don't recommend Tula or Red Army, all other steel case ammunition run fine. To read more about our disclaimer, please click on the disclaimer tab above.

Q: I have a couple 7.72 bolts which came with an older Colt rifle I have. Looking to replace the existing extractor with one of these to minimize any extractor breakage. Question...will it fit the Colt bolt. The walls of the bolt face are thinner on the two bolts I have for the 7.62x39 rifle...is this what you are saying needs to be .125 dimension? Thanks, John

Asked by: John Talucci - 7/29/2021
A: If the Colt bolt is per mil-spec then you should be able to utilize the extractor with no issues.

Q: I have both a BCA 7.62x39 AR style pistol and a AR Stoner 7.62x39 AR style rifle. I would like to order a couple extra extractors for each. However your disclaimers specifically exclude BCA 7.62x39 bolt assemblies. Why is that? What is the difference that makes them incompatible? I suspect that he AR Stoner 7.62x39 upper "might" be a rebranded BCA upper as well.

Asked by: Brandt Schermann - 6/29/2021
A: We don't like to call out other manufactures and what we discovered. For a further detailed explanation you can call us and we would be happy to discuss what we found when another customer sent his BCA bolt assembly to us for inspection and why the incompatibility issue. Many customers had his same experience that they couldn't pair their bca bolt assembly to any other manufacturers extractors.

Q: will this extractor work with a PSA KS47 BCG?

Asked by: Pat - 4/7/2021
A: I do have customers that use them but we don't warranty for use with KS-47 as talking with customers their rifle is over gassed which causes undue stress on the extractors. Best ejection pattern for 7.62x39 is around the 4 o'clock pattern (as look at a clock) and we don't warranty for use with Tula, we highly recommend Wolf Ammunition.

Q: Hello! I have a primary arms rf-15 AR. I keep having issues with extractors breaking with steel and brass. Any recommendations? I'm probably gonna order one of your 7.62x39 extractors and try it with brass and if it breaks that extractor then I will start checking the headspacing and other key measurements. And advice is appreciated! Thank you

Asked by: Justin Camiscioni - 2/14/2021
A: Two things that cause premature extractor failures are overgassing and Tula. Tula has a tendency to not shrink properly and stick in the chamber which puts stress on the extractor.
